Seneca, Dental Assistant
I’ve been working in the dental field since 2007 and happily joined the Boulder Valley Dental team in 2014. Out of all the dentists in Louisville, CO, Dr. Hughes and I share the same vision of creating a unique personal dental experience and making our guests feel comfortable. We are constantly learning through new advancements in technology and I enjoy passing my knowledge on to others to better their smiles and lives.
My husband, Greg, and I met in 2008 and were married on the fourth of July 2014. We are the proud pet parents of a 12-year-old boxer named Reese and a 3-year-old bearded dragon named Sunny. Let’s be honest: Greg wants nothing to do with Sunny. In my spare time, I enjoy crafting with friends, reading, bubble baths, and my annual Colorado staycations with my husband.
Shanda, Periodontal & Myofunctional Therapist
In a field where there are advancements with new tools and research, I love being able to continue my education and challenge myself. Not only can I continue with my education, I have had the luxury of implementing new techniques in periodontal therapy into my daily Louisville dental hygiene care and am very excited to make a difference in the health of my patients.
I grew up in Colorado and am a proud graduate of the University of Colorado where I achieved my RDH and Bachelor of Science. My husband, Chad, is a student and stay at home dad and we have three beautiful daughters, Payton, Lane and Charlotte. Every day is an adventure in our household and I love my family. I love spending time with them, whether we are busy with bike rides or sledding in the Colorado mountains, on shopping outings or a night at home with a good movie, they bring me so much joy.
My motto is “Life is a journey, not a destination,” and I plan on living it to the fullest.
Destinee, Office Administrator
From a young age, I had a goal in mind to work in healthcare and was fortunate to receive the opportunity to work for one of Colorado’s largest healthcare organizations after moving to the state in 2013. It was through my employment with this organization where I not only realized my passion for business and leadership, but also prompted me to switch career paths while in college. I graduated from the University of Colorado Denver in 2018 at the top of my class with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management. Although I switched my degree from one specifically tailored to healthcare to one in business, it did not change my aspiration to continue helping patients with their medical needs. I continued working in the medical field shortly after graduating, but soon realized my desire to continue learning and expanding my knowledge. It was in this moment where I decided to look into dentistry. I am very grateful Dr. Hughes believed in my abilities to help her dental practice and gave me the opportunity to learn about a different realm of the healthcare industry. I’m excited to see where we can take Boulder Valley Dental as well as where my journey in the healthcare industry will take me.
