She graduated from Buena Vista College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Chemistry and received her doctorate degree in dentistry from the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry in 1998.

She has studied IV and Oral Conscious Sedation and Advanced Cardiac Life Support at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, Seaton Hall University. Additionally, Dr. Hughes has completed certification training at the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry to obtain her Laser Periodontal Therapy TM License. When she is not focusing on your smile, Dr. Hughes loves spending time with her two lovely children, Ben and Camryn. She also enjoys cycling, skiing, and exploring what Colorado has to offer. To enjoy the beauty and recreation of the Rocky Mountains, Dr. Hughes and her family relocated to Boulder County in the fall of 2007, at which time she acquired a Denver area dental practice in Louisville, Colorado. Here she has created a friendly, relaxing environment where patients feel their oral health needs are being met in the most effective and comfortable way.
